DNA en
DNA is a biological polymer of nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of a heterocyclic nitrogenous base, a 2-deoxyribose sugar (a 5-carbon sugar) and a phosphate group. While it is generally associated with the long term storage of information in cells in the form of the double helix, DNA can exist in as a single-stranded structure, taking on a more functional role. Regardless of its function or form, DNA folding and interactions occur mainly through hydrogen bonding with or between the bases. [ - ]
