In addition to serving as a venture partner at Benchmark, Rich is Chairman
and CEO of Zillow Inc.,
an online real estate service dedicated to providing home buyers and sellers
with valuable tools and information.
Prior to Zillow, Rich
founded Expedia within
Microsoft. In 1999,
he led the spin-off of Expedia from Microsoft and served as the company’s
president and CEO until March, 2003, by which time Expedia had grown to
become the world’s largest online travel retailer.
Prior to founding Expedia, Rich worked in various product management roles on Windows and MS-DOS at Microsoft.

Education: Rich holds a BS degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University.
