I see that there are two concurrent bases for linking Daylife IDs to Freebase topics. Freebase has also recently loaded a bunch (~60k?) of mappings as well, so I'm hoping we can maybe pool our efforts? We've loaded IDs to the property /common/identity/daylife_topic, and set up a URI template so that the link to Daylife is displayed automatically. See 50 Cent (http://www.freebase.com/view/authority/daylife/08Sw8cb9aO16O), for an example. (Ignore, for now, the fact that he seems to have also been tagged with Shaniqua Tompkins' Daylife id.)

I've been working with Ken Ellis and Jason Douglas on this.
I was just trying to write a prototype app that mashed up some stuff with Daylife's API's.
I know you can't delete anything from the database, but you can definitely make your effort be the master. I'm not sure how you archive/merge stuff but do whatever you need to do.

Absolutely Jeff, the IDs I stuffed in was just a temporary measure until we get the /common/identity stuff straightened out, to build out an NBA vertical demo. So I piggybacked on the base that Bill set up. The /common stuff isn't complete yet and there are some data gaps in the mappings which we needed to fix for our demo, but I'm told fairly soon we'll have write access to it, so that's eventually what we'll be using (and maintaining + improving).

Was this base created in error? We now have both /base/daylifetopics (note the 's') and /base/daylifetopic (unpopulated as yet). Is this going to be a renaming/migration or they separate bases? It'd be nice to reduce the amount of duplication. If there's a strong need for separate bases, perhaps we could at least get the same types/properties used across both.
