Is a foundry a business location or an organization? There's no description or included type to explain this at the moment..
-
They should be Business_Operation
Since according to the American Foundry Society (not a world view, but I working on it) : " The U.S. casting industry currently consists of 2,130 operations (80% of which are small businesses with less than 100 employees). Due to increased foreign competition, regulatory burdens and some attempts over the last decade to position the U.S. more toward a "service economy." This number is down from 3,300 in 1990 and as high as 6,000 in 1955.
The metalcasting industry represents 200,000 jobs in the U.S. "

And so.... I've added a basic type description to Metal Foundry and also added /business_operation with it's included /organization type
Does that fix it up a bit better, Iain ?

hmm... I'm re-thinking the /business_operation as the included type. Since some companies also have MANY foundries. Such as http://www.bradken.com.au Take a look at just 1 of the foundry spec sheets for their Bradken - Atlas foundry location in Tacoma, Washington : http://www.bradken.com.au/documents/media-centre/brochures/engineered_products/Bradken_-_Atlas_Facilities_Sheet.pdf
After looking over those, what other types then should a Metal Foundry ideally include ?

I think it's more an Organization Location. Business Operation is for logical business units. Manufacturing Plant sounds like a candidate on the surface, but it appears to be automotive specific.
