Hi Martin,
Welcome to Freebase. I see that you've put together a really great topic for Ad.WRIGHT Communications. However it looks like you've mistakenly used the software property of the Software Developer type to model the list of software that Ad.WRIGHT uses.
This property is actually meant for software that was developed by Ad.WRIGHT so for instance right now if you click through to MySQL it shows that it was developed by Sun, MySQL AB and Ad.WRIGHT which is probably incorrect. Other than that it looks really good.

Software developers should have a list field for the software they've developed

Yes! I added "Doug Coleman" as a developer of "Factor programming language". However, when you go to Doug's page, there's no hint of his association with the project! There should be a "software projects" field or something like that to indicate which projects he's submitted code to.

I third this.. any computer software admins reading this? It would sure be nice to see the reciprocal side of the "Developer" property of the "Software" type..
-
A rework of the entire domain is in progress to address this and other similar concerns. Hopefully it will be on sandbox sometime soon. For the time being, I have added the reciprocal property to Software from developer.

How about enabling the suggested property Software(links in as Developer) so that the topic for a software developer shows what they developed?

We are working on a Software team type to model the developer(s) of a software. Also discussed here.

I was typing the entry for John Knoll (co-creator of Photoshop) and looking for something like 'software designer' when I found this type. Should I be typing people as software developers, or is this type for companies?
-
People who write software (or aid in the process of creation of code) should always be typed as software developers (at the very least). We don't really have anything to describe the role that people play on software teams which develop software. Eventually, when we do have specific roles for developers in teams, it would merely be a matter of co-typing.
