I didn't wait for the type ahead and just added Google and CEO on the Eric Schmidt page.... it didn't ask me to add a new Employer it just did.

Can you recall the exact steps to reproduce this? In earlier versions of Freebase, it was easy to accidentally enter a value before autocomplete had a chance to display anything, and this led to a lot of new (and occasionally bogus) entries. If you can describe what happened in more detail, I will try and reproduce this.

Step 1: Goto the Eric Schmidt Page:

Step 2: Click on employment history
Step 3: Type Google REALLY fast and hit tab.
When you hit save it saves and it adds a new Google.
If you're too slow a typer (LOL) , put Google in your clipboard hit cmd-v then tab and you're set to get this to fail. -
what's the GUID of the "real" google topic?

This used to be the wrong Google topic, then it got merged with the correct one. The discussion gets merged over as well, which seems like the right thing to do, but I can see that it's causing some confusion....
