Dear K.
Thanks for writing. I'm a philosophy grad student, so as you may have noticed, I've been working on some stuff related to logic and academic publications. I have a number of feature requests that would make it easier to do some things. I'd be happy to write to you about them, do you have an email address?
Also, I don't know if you've had a chance to look at the assertion modeling kit I've been working on. It seems like a good way to help really make full use of the conceptual power of the database. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to model arguments and theoretical claims. What do you think?

You can email me at kirrily@metaweb.com if you like.
A few people in the past have tried to model abstract things like your assertion modeling domain, and I must admit it's not really my area and I don't know if I have anything much to contribute. If you're interested in meeting people who might have real opinions on the matter, you could post on the data-modeling mailing list. Or I could try and remember (or ask around about) who it was who was working in similar areas in the past.
I think pvonstackelberg might have been doing something that might interest you in his Future Studies domain. You could take a look at his types and see if you share interests with him.

Thank you. I'll try to send you that email about features in the next few weeks.
