Hi Thad, thanks for entering a lot of data into Freebase. I wanted to point out a couple of types in Freebase that may have caused some confusion: Fictional Character is for made-up figures, i.e. they don't/didn't actually exist. Historical people portrayed in films, such as John of England, do not belong to this type. Person or Being in Fiction, on the other hand, covers the opposite: it "allows people, deities, and other beings that are not actually fictional to be modeled as characters in fictional works that treat them in a fictional manner or that include characters clearly based on real people." So, John of England belongs here, so that a show on Robinhood, for example, can be entered as a property. Conversely, Harry Potter does not belong to this type.

Let me know if that's still confusing. Keep up the good work!

I also happened to notice that you added practicer_of_diet (a type associated with people) to /en/judaism, which in turn caused /en/judaism to be typed as /people/person (as well as /food/diet_follower). I've deleted person and diet_follower, and think that practicer_of_diet should be deleted as well.

I didn't add the type practicer_of_diet. I merely associated Kosher (which was typed as a diet at the time, and really is) with Judaism and the rest, Freebase handled itself. There is ongoing discussion and fixes for how the "linking" is incorrect and I and others have admitted that and let Freebase staff know about the problem. Properties on Freebase are not intended to be used to loosely connect related concepts; rather, they are intended to provide structure to relationships. No-one is disputing that "Kosher" and "Judaism" are unrelated, but the relationship is not the one you entered. The relationship between the types Diet and Practitioner of Diet is that of a diet and an individual, specific person who follows that diet. It is not the relationship between a diet and a class of people who follow it or a religion that prescribes a diet. This is why I suggested using the Religious Practice type to associate diets with religions.

@Jeff - I understand now the Practitioner of Diet more correctly. Thanks.
