Byron E. Price (November 19, 1962-) is an African American political scientist. He is presently an associate professor at Texas Southern University and the Director of the Barbara Jordan Institute for Policy Research. Byron Eugene Price was born November 19, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. He holds a B.S. and M.P.A. from Texas Southern University, an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration from Mississippi State University. Price has been an assistant professor at University of Dayton, Rutgers-Newark, and the UMDNJ School of Public Health.
