  • Carlos Emilio Carmona Tello is a professional Chilean footballer who started his career as a centre midfielder in Coquimbo Unido and has already captained Chile's U-20 and U-23 sides. On June 1, 2008, he was bought by Reggina, where he is expected to play until 2012. Carmone was Chile's youngest player at the 2005 U-20 World Cup in Holland where he showed some glimpse of talent in Chile's opening game, a 7-0 win against Honduras. Two years later, he captained Chile to the 2007 U-20 World Cup where he played in the 3-0 win against Canada, 3-0 win against Congo, 1-0 win against Congo, 4-0 win against Nigeria and 1-0 win against Austria; Chile eventually were bronze medalists at the end of tournament. His international fortunes continued as Chile's coach Marcelo Bielsa called him up for the 2008 Toulon Tournament, a Under-23 football event, where Carmona won a silver medal with his side. His performances in Toulon won him a spot in Chile's starting 11 for two World Cup Qualifying games - away victories against Bolivia and Venezuela, starting on both occasions as the team's only defensive central midfielder. On February 6, 2013, against Egypt, Carmona scored his first goal for the national team in a 2-1 victory for the Chilean team. Wikipedia
