Dalton Park is a shopping centre in Murton, County Durham. It is built on the site of the former colliery's slag heaps. It is the largest factory outlet style shopping centre in the North East, where branded goods are sold at discounted prices, usually discontinued lines of stock. It was officially opened by Tara Palmer-Tompkinson on 10 April 2003, with the opening of Gap Outlet in October 2008. At Dalton Park you can save up to 50% off high street prices on a wide range of top brands. There's over 60 outlet shops selling over 200 different brands plus 7 places for coffee or a snack. There's also a free children's play area and free 1200 space car park. Look out for events and entertainment throughout the year.
