Endless.com was created in December 2006 by Amazon.com, as their first separate e-commerce brand. Shoes are considered one of the fastest growing retail segments. In order to take advantage of the expansion of this new business category, a mirror website for Japan market, named Javari, was created in March 2009.
On October 2009, Amazon launched javari.co.uk in the United Kingdom, followed shortly by Javari sites in France and Germany.
It was announced on July 22, 2009 that Amazon.com would buy Zappos for $940 million in a stock and cash deal.
Endless.com closed on September 27th, 2012 and is now amazon.com/fashion.
