Jerome Joseph Hastrich was the second bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gallup, in Gallup, New Mexico.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hastrich was ordained to the priesthood on February 9, 1941, for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. On December 22, 1945, he was incardinated into the newly created Diocese of Madison. On July 25, 1963, Pope Paul VI appointed him auxiliary bishop of the Madison Diocese, and he was consecrated bishop on September 3, 1963. On August 25, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed Hastrich Bishop of the Gallup Diocese. He retired on March 31, 1990.
