  • K1 Speed is a chain of indoor kart racing tracks nationwide across the United States. K1 Speed also markets its own line of automotive and karting race gear called K1 Race Gear. K1 Speed was co-founded in 2003 by David Danglard and Susan Graver. Race car driver Boris Said is also a small owner in the company. K1 Speed features European-built electric go karts capable of 40 mph, asphalt tracks, and computerized scoring. Ranging from 70,000 to 100,000 sq ft in size, K1 Speed is the largest chain of indoor go karting centers in the United States. The chain operates tracks in Carlsbad, Irvine, Anaheim, Ontario, Torrance, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Sacramento, California, one track in the Seattle, Washington, area, one in Phoenix, Arizona, two in Houston and Austin, Texas, one in Fort Lauderdale Florida, and two brand new tracks in the Chicago Illinois area. Two more tracks opened in San Antonio and Dallas, Texas in the Summer 2013. Future tracks will be opening in Miami, Florida; Indianapolis, Indiana; Atlanta, Georgia; and San Diego, California.
