  • The London Oratory School, founded in 1863, is a voluntary aided Catholic school for boys aged 7-18 and girls aged 16-18 in Brompton, London. It is historically linked to, but not formally affiliated with, fellow Oratorian institutions the nearby Brompton Oratory or The Oratory School, a boarding independent school in Berkshire. It is notable as the Catholic School to which three of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's children attended. Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister and Harriet Harman MP both have had children attend the school. In the 1960s it was a grammar for a number of years before turning comprehensive in the 1970s. Admissions policies remain highly selective, but are focused on deemed commitment to the Catholic faith - with points awarded for the age at which the children were baptised, attendance of mass by both child and parents, and participation in church activities such as flower arranging or altar serving. The school is situated near to West Brompton rail and tube Wikipedia
