  • Pullman is the largest city in Whitman County, Washington. The population was 29,799 at the 2010 census up from 24,675 in 2000 census. Originally incorporated as Three Forks, the city was later renamed after George Pullman. Pullman, on the Palouse, is best known as the home of Washington State University, a four-campus land-grant university, and of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, an international firm in the power industry.
