  • Strand Home Video is a video company most famous for distributing Thomas and Friends videos from 1990-1994 and Adventures in Odyssey The company also distributed other movies and TV programs on VHS, including Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Kino's Storytime, The Mouse and the Motorcycle and its sequels, Runaway Ralph and Ralph S. Mouse, as well as Tina Turner: Girl from Nutbush. It was originally founded in 1989 as Strand VCI Entertainment, which also released Quigley's Village, but the name and logo were changed in 1992. The company went out of business in 1995 and was sold to Video Treasures. Strand Home Video was the American counterpart to Video Collection International.
