The Panic Room is a British factual series which premiered on BBC Three on April 10 2007. The programme attempts to take a certain phobia which a person has, and via The Panic Room, helps to overcome them. It centres around 'The Panic Room', an enclosed space which uses 360-degree projected images, plus custom-designed infrastructure and state-of-the-art light and sound techniques to create a multi-sensory world fitted for each phobic. Over the series, they try to help people get over 12 different phobias including lifts, spiders and flying. With the help of two psychologists, 'The Panic Room' and the apartment, it is hoped the person overcomes their fear. [ - ]
