  • The UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television, is one of the twelve schools within UCLA. It is located in Los Angeles, California, USA, and is unique in that it combines all three of these aspects into a single school. The graduate programs are usually ranking within the top 3 nationally, according to the U.S. News & World Report. The film school is considered one of the best in the world and admission is extremely competitive. Among the school's resources are the Geffen Playhouse, and the UCLA Film and Television Archive, the largest university-based archive of its kind in the world. The Archive constitutes one of the largest collections of media materials in the United States - second only to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Its vaults hold more than 220,000 motion picture and television titles and 27 million feet of newsreel footage. The School's total enrollment, in 2003, consisted of 310 students out of 3,688 applicants.
