  • Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire is a musical university in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. The Ural State Conservatory was founded in 1934. The opening of the Conservatory was predetermined by the necessity of training the highly qualified specialists for musical theatres, concert organizations, and educational establishments of the Urals, Siberia and Far East. In 1939 the Conservatory had its first graduates. Many of them became the teachers of the Conservatory and were appointed to the chairs in a number of higher schools, became the leading music art workers of the country. Nowadays the highly professional staff of the Conservatory includes world famous professors, laureates of Russian and international contests, honored artists. The Ural State Conservatory is one of the biggest musical higher institutions of the country. Its students are awarded honorary titles, like Prize-winners of Russian and International competitions. The faculties of the Conservatory are: orchestra and folk instruments, piano playing, solo singing, orchestra and chorus conducting, musicology, composition, the musical sound-producing faculty and others.
