WYZY is a radio station broadcasting an adult CHR format, according to their website. Licensed to Saranac, New York, USA, the station is currently owned by Saranac Lake Radio, LLC. Their studio is located in the Champlain Centre North mall in Plattsburgh, New York. By 2009, WYZY moved in a more contemporary hit radio direction, but remained an adult top 40, a similar direction made at WWMX Baltimore & WKRQ Cincinnati. It does play more hip-hop than any other hot adult contemporary but also, WYZY leans heavy towards dance remixes from its WYUL contemporary hit radio competitor, which plays a limited amount of remixes. It does also overflow rhythmic contemporary artists not played by the mainstream contemporary hit radio chart or stations, but still, it cannot became top 40 despite WXXX & WXZO having the format. By March 2012, the station stopped being the market's only hot AC station as longtime AC rival WEZF began switching to hot AC to have the same aspects as WYZY; WEZF is still much softer than WYZY in terms of sound.
