Shipbuilding did not end inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard when the Navy closed the Yard. The City of New York bought the Yard from the Navy for 24 million dollars. In 1968 Seatrain Shipbuilding signed a 20 year lease [1.6 million dollars a year] ,for a large part of the yard, Seatrain Shipbuilding modernized their leased section of the Yard with the intent to build 7 VLCC's and 4 Contairer Ships for Seatrain Lines. As history will show Seatrain Shipbuilding built 4-VLCC's the Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Stuyvesant, Bay Ridge, 8 ocean going barges, 1 oil barge and 1 Ice Breaker barge. 2 Ro RO's were started. One RO-RO was towed to another yard in 1981 and finished, the second RO RO was scrappted. The Ice Braker Super Tanker Manhatten [110,000 tons] was owned by Seatrain Lines, she was brought into the Yard and Seatrain removed her Ice Breaker Hull.
The burned out hull of the Sea Witch [built by Bath Iron Works] was towed into the Yard. Seatrain Shipbuild was contracted to turn her into a stainless steel chemical tanker. Work was started on the Sea Witch but Seatrain never finished her. She was towed out of the Yard in the early 1980's, she was towed to Newport News Shipbuilding where she was finished, she still sails today under a different name.
The only ship shill in use today is the Bay Ridge, her name was change. I n 1988 the Bay Ridge was concerted to an oil-drilling ship by the Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, She is working for Chevron Texaco drilling for oil off the coast of Angola.
The 5th VLCC was to be named the Crown Hights, one of her two boilers can be found inside the Brooklyn Navy Yard by dry dock #6.

It appears that the mw_template_bot (Wikimedia importer) had a bug that caused it to create these entries on Jun 11, 2008. The bug was apparently fixed quickly, but the bad data never got cleaned up. We actually already have a topic for Seatrain Shipbuilding, but it wasn't typed as a Company or much of anything else useful, so it may have been hard to find.

Seatrain Shipbuilding Corp. leased a major part of the Brooklyn Navy Yard from 1968-1979.
In that time the shipbuilders of Seatrain Shipbuilding, most of comeing from the ranks of the working poor of Brooklyn, built 4 VLCC's [tankers larger than Super tankers], 8 ocean going barges, 1 Ice Breaker Barge and started 2 RO-RO's, work on the Sea Witch to convert it from a burned out container ship into a chemical tanker. The Brooklyn [a VLCC] was the largest ship ever to be built in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the first VLCC to ever be built in the United States.
The Brooklyn was 1,090 feet long, a 140 wide, 90 feet from the keel to the main deck, 70 draft and was 220,000 DWT. The full story can be found in the book Brooklyn Steel-Blood Tenacity by

I think this is a good idea. Some thoughts:

1) It would indeed be beneficial to link composers with their associated catalogs. It would also be good to enable compositions to be associated with their catalog numbers.

2) It would be better for the type to be called Music Catalog rather than Thematic Catalog. "Music catalog" seems to be the more general term and is consistent with Wikipedia e.g. wikipedia's article on the Köchel catalogue is in the Music catalogs category. (As I understand it, a thematic catalog is a kind of music catalog which indexes work by its opening notes -- But i am not a Musicologist!)

3) Expanding on (1) above, if a composition can only be in one catalog (that being the one associated with the composer) then a text field would suffice e.g. "K525" for Eine kleine Nachtmusik. However, it seems likely that more than one catalog could contain the same work, in which case perhaps there should be (following my proposed terminology) a Music Catalog Entry type to link Compositons with Music Catalogs.
