I changed my mind based on the official website (www.oireachtas.ie) which lists only the sessions of parliament (Dáil) that a member has been elected for.

But yes, it would make sense to start a term on the date of the election. I'd be happier if I could find an official Irish website that said this, but otherwise we can do this for the sake of consistency with other parliaments.

What make you change your mind? I don't know much about the particulars of the Irish government, but I would be surprised if members of the Dáil actually started their terms on the day of the election (if for no other reason than that votes have to be counted and all that which presumably takes a little while). But I could imagine a circumstance where they technically take office before the session opens.

If weight weren't attached to the composition, it would be modeled as we have it. The variant weights per composition makes it rather harder; I can't think of another solution yet, but I'll keep thinking about it. (We could also just go with what we have, and add composition later.)

I've added a boolean "Self antiparticle" to the particle type and filled it in appropriately. It's not a perfect solution, but at least it lets us get the data into the graph. Still wondering what to do about the composition of π⁰.

There was a general election on 24 May 2007 (according to Wikipedia), but the 30th Dáil only started sitting on 14 June 2007 (see e.g. here). So by my understanding, any member elected in this election should have a term starting on 14 June 2007 (e.g. Joanna Tuffy).
