&lt;p&gt;They're appearing in the base's topic list because /base/bibkn/affiliation has /base/bibkn/topic as an included type. I don't know if this is a necessary side-effect of the kludge that is &quot;base topics&quot; or an oversight in the client; an answer to that question will probably have to wait until some Metaweb staff get back into the office :-)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content>
