I just wanted to let you know we've added a new /religion domain with several new types. This replaces the old /people/religion domain, which I know you start doing a little bit of work on, so have at it! :)

Thanks,

I've posted the model I've been working on to my private domain, and I was thinking we could use that discussion board as a central place for comments:

Hi folks, thanks for the work on the Doctor Who topics! I'm from the BBC and am playing around with how things might help us build interesting things with the data (not really officially at the moment though).

For your work on fictional universes, check out

a paper written by an ex-colleague a few years ago

on how relationships between characters, places and episodes could be modelled in a semantic way.

The paper was mainly written about soap operas, but the topics therein should apply to other fictional storyline-based shows (and even books, films etc).

Hopefully it will trigger off a few ideas..!

Happy freebasing,

Brendan.

fictional universe domain

, which we just created. I don't know how useful it will be for what you have in mind, but some of the types might come in handy if you wanted to model additional information about the characters or include settings for different episodes/serials. Since the domain is young, and relatively data-free, I'd also be interested to see how it holds up under the strain of a well-defined universe like Doctor Who's.

I noticed that in creating a Freebase topic about yourself, you seemed to have overwritten an existing topic for Tony Angelo, the race car driver. I restored that article to its correct state and created a new "Anthony James Angelo" topic with all of your info in it. The only thing you need to do is change the "Topic about me" link to the new article - I don't have the permissions to change things on your profile page.

I hope that makes sense - let me know if something is unclear.
