Michael E. Marks joined the Menlo Park, CA office of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts Co. (KKR) in January 2006 and is a Member of the firm. KKR, one of the world's most experienced and successful private equity firms, has invested approximately $162 billion in more than 120 transactions since its inception in 1976. KKR has offices in Menlo Park, London, Paris, and Hong Kong. Prior to joining KKR, Michael served as Chief Executive Officer of Flextronics, a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services provider headquartered in San Jose, CA. Under his leadership, Flextronics realized steady growth from $93 million in 1993 to over $15 billion in 2005. Michael remains Chairman of the Board of Flextronics. Michael also sits on the boards of SanDisk Corporation (Sunnyvale, CA), Crocs, Inc. (Boulder, CO), Schlumberger Limited (New York, NY), and The V Foundation for Cancer Research (Cary, NC). Michael received Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees from Oberlin College in Ohio. He subsequently received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1977. [ - ]
