<p>There are situations where location topics of one type are not contained by and do not contain location topics of a different type but there is a need to define how they overlap. Some non-nested ways to describe areas of the world include <a href="http://www.freebase.com/view/base/abcbirds/bird_conservation_region">Bird Conservation Regions</a> (BCRs), <a href="http://www.freebase.com/view/en/ecoregion">ecoregions</a>, and U.S. states. The current location schema does not provide me with a way to define which states overlap with a given BCR or ecoregion. Could you add an "Overlaps" location property linked in and reciprocated as a location?</p>
