In the comedy Trial and Error, Elizabeth Gardner (Jessica Steen) is the strait-laced prosecutor in a small town in Nevada named Paradise Falls. She must convince the jury of the guilt of Benny Gibbs, a con man who sold pennies to unsuspecting consumers for $17.99 (plus shipping and taxes). She must contend with the zany antics of the opposing 'team' of 'lawyers' and their choice of quirky witnesses, as well as a jury that seems to sympathize with the defendant as the case draws to a close.
