Thomas is one of the protagonists in Konami's role playing game Suikoden III. He went to Grassland to look for his father, Lowma, after his mother died. His father did not warmly welcome him due to the fact that he was his illegitimate son and it would certainly destroy his reputation and name as head of the Zexen's Merchant Guild. And so Thomas was sent away by Lowma to a rundown castle, named Budehuc, and was made castle master. Thomas at first did not like the idea especially upon seeing the status of the castle. But when he learned the story behind the castle and becoming close to its tenants, he decided to bring the castle back to its original stature, a trading area. Budehuc castle was located in between Zexen and Grasslands so he made it a free trade area in which anyone could put up their own stalls and sell their products. And since Zexen and Grassland are in conflict with each other it was a good idea to open the place for both so that they would learn to understand each other. Lowma heard of the plan, which will obviously ruin his business, and so he decided to stop the plan or remove Thomas as castle master. Thomas, of course, didn￢ﾀﾙt want to stop the plan ￢ﾀﾓ for it [ - ]
