King Vegeta or King Vegita is a fictional character in the anime Dragon Ball Z. He is a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta. In the Dragon Ball manga, only a passing reference is made to the character (and he is not named.) In the anime however, he plays a much larger role. King Vegeta is the father of Prince Vegeta and the grandfather of Trunks and Bra. King Vegeta is only seen in the anime, and his appearance is never shown nor described in the manga. He is mentioned in the manga however, although briefly (see below for details). King Vegeta is the only full Saiyan who des not have black hair. This may be because he is a filler character. The character of King Vegeta is primarily witnessed through several flashbacks. He decides to rebel against Freeza's oppression and mounts an assault on Freeza's capital ship. When he arrives in Freeza's chamber room, he declares Freeza's tyranny over and that they had come to stop him, Freeza then points out that King Vegeta's elite were terrified, the king calls them fools and charges Freeza, his first attack is effortlessly dodged by Freeza. Angered, the king attempts to attack again but Freeza dodges again, this time counterattacking him, Zarbon [ - ]
