Musical Artist Documentation

Musical Artist can describe either an individual musician or a band of musicians. Ideally, a Musical Artist will have released a Musical Album.

Right now, anyone who contributed in any way to an album or song is typed as a Musical Artist; this includes composers, writers of liner notes, and graphic designers. Obviously, this isn’t ideal, but it’s a quirk in our main source of music data; please help us clean this up!
The definition for Musical Artist is ideal for popular recording artists. The right model for classical composers and performers is different; please join the discussions here or prototype them in your own default domain and help us figure this out.

Hidden Property

  • Similar Musical Artists: expects Musical Artist; this is just the other side of the Similar Artists property, and is interesting, but is confusing to display.
