Allison investigates the case a woman's murdered husband, while her brother Michael gets a job as a telephone hotline psychic which leads him to visit a distressed customer in Arizona - the same customer whose case Allison is investigating. Meanwhile, Bridgette has difficulty explaining to Joe that it was her math teacher who smashed his car window. This episode caused continuity problems, as it was to air after No One to Watch Over Me, but was moved forward because of the Virginia Tech shootings. In this episode, Joe is seen driving around, taking the girls to school and apparently dressed for work, but not explained as returning to work until the next episode.
