The 2006 edition shows classic Sin Zin and Alexander Valley characteristics. There are notes of boysenberry and wild strawberry along with some crushed black pepper. But it's also a touch darker and richer than some previous versions. That is attributed to the addition of a small amount of Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley to the blend before the wine is aged in French and American oak.
