500 Degreez is the third album by the New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne released in 2002. The album is actually referred as a diss to Juvenile after he left Cash Money earlier in the year. The album peaked at #6 on the Billboard 100, #1 on the Top R&B;/Hip-Hop Albums and sold 500,000 copies in the U.S. This is Wayne's lowest album in terms of sales but is still considered to be a success by reaching Gold status with almost no promotion or marketing support. This is also the last album Lil' Wayne wrote his lyrics on paper. His future lyrics would be recorded off the cuff. The album was also released in a clean version, which removes most vulgar content like language and sex/drug related lyrics. References to violence are also edited out.
