Granov was named in August 2004 as one of Marvel Comics' "Young Guns", a group of artists who have the qualities that make "a future superstar penciller", according to Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada. He teamed with comic book writer Warren Ellis for the post-Avengers Disassembled relaunch of Iron Man. He also helped design the Iron Man suit for Jon Favreau's 2008 Iron Man film and drew an Iron Man mini-series written by the film's director Jon Favreau. Granov lives in Leeds,West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.
Granov has also contributed to Devil's Due's GI Joe Reloaded in 2004, as well as Humanoids Publishing's Metal Hurlant and Dreamwave Productions' Necrowar. He also designed all the suits for the Iron Man film.
