Adjud (Romanian pronunciation: [adˈʒud]) is a city in Vrancea county, Romania, with a population of 17,677. Three villages are administered by the city: Adjudu Vechi, Burcioaia and Şişcani. Paper manufacturing and textiles are Adjud's main industries. An ancient Dacian settlement, named "Piroboridava", located in today's commune of Poiana Nicoreşti), was discovered. The Castle of Lahovary is located near Adjud.
