Sir Adrian Cedric Boult CH (8 April 1889 – 22 February 1983) was an English conductor. Boult was born in Chester and educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford. As a schoolboy, he attended Sir Henry Wood's Saturday afternoon and Sunday concert series, seeing Debussy and Arthur Nikisch conduct.
