For Fourth of July celebrations, he was known to buy upwards of $20,000 worth of fireworks. After Azie Faison was shot 7 times in a botched robbery attempt, Rich Porter and Alpo Martinez took over Drug operations in Harlem. Other main cities of operation were Washington D.C., and Virginia Beach. On the night of January 3, 1990, Martinez and an accomplice murdered Rich Porter. According to Martinez, Porter was murdered becadeath of Rich Porter, Alpo himself was later shot in D.C., supposedly by a known drug dealer named "Butter-Ball", but survived....
