Alexandra Kerry

Alexandra Forbes Kerry (born September 5, 1973) is a film producer and director. She is the elder daughter of 2004 US Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry. Alexandra Forbes Kerry (born September 5, 1973) is a film producer and director. She is the elder daughter of 2004 US Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry. Her mother was Julia Thorne, who was married to John Kerry from 1970 until their divorce in 1988. Alexandra has a younger sister, Vanessa Kerry. Both sisters were active in their father's 2004 Presidential campaign. Kerry graduated from Milton Academy and then studied anthropology and modern culture and media at Brown University where her focus was race relations. In 2004 she graduated from the directing program at the AFI Conservatory after receiving the Richard Rogers award for excellence in directing. Her short film The Last Full Measure premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won several awards at film festivals across the country.
