Although his career lasted until the 1950s, Green directed number of movies with major stars such as Mary Pickford, Wallace Reid, and Colleen Moore. In 1936, Green directed the movie, Dangerous, with Bette Davis having the starring role. As a result, Davis won Best Actress for her performance. It was followed by Green's next success, The Jolson Story. However,The Jolson Story was followed by a string of B-movies. After retiring from motion pictures, he directed several TV episodes.
