Both networks began coverage of New Year's Eve in the same year. Airing on New Year's Eve, though the early morning of New Year's Day, the program features a number of different elements, including banter between the show's hosts, on the street reports with people surrounded by people celebrating the New Year, in addition to special celebrity guests.
