American Honda Motor Company

The American Honda Motor Company, the United States branch of the Japan-based Honda Motor Company, began operations in a small storefront in Los Angeles in 1959. Manufacturing plants under the control of the American Honda Motor Company opened initially in 1979. The company has enjoyed continued success in the United States, overtaking Chrysler as the fourth largest automotive supplier in America.
