Andrea Casali

Andrea Casali (1705-1784) was an Italian painter of the Rococo period. He was born at Civitavecchia, and is said to have been a pupil of Sebastiano Conca. He traveled to England in 1741, and stayed there for more than two decades, and where he was a teacher to James Durno. Some sources claim a birthdate of 1720 . He was also called the Chevalier . He remained in England till 1766, after which he lived for some years at Rome. He etched
