Andrew F. Cook, Jr.

Andrew Fred Cook, Jr. (January 2, 1920 – November 4, 1942) was an officer in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Serving in the field from May 10, 1942, he was promoted to second lieutenant July 14, 1942. He was killed in action in the Battle of Guadalcanal November 4, 1942, receiving the Navy Cross for gallantry and self-sacrifice in the action in which he gave his life.
