Growing up Andrew Horne began working by mowing grass in neighborhoods, delivering newspapers such as the Courier Journal and Louisville Times, working on an organic farm, and working in his family's local laundry cleaners. Horne was also a Boy Scout during his juvenile years. Andrew Horne attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School and enlisted in the Marine Reserves before graduating in 1979.
