new investments. With his free time, Andy serves as a lecturer in
entrepreneurship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also
serves as a member of the board of trustees of the University of
Pennsylvania and as an overseer for its School of Engineering and
Applied Science.
Prior to his ten years as a general
partner at Benchmark Capital, Andy spent ten years as a general partner
with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre (MPAE). Before joining MPAE,
Andy held a variety of positions in the investment industry, working as
an associate at Harvest Ventures; as a portfolio manager at Lamoreaux,
Glynn & Associates; and as a financial analyst at Blyth Eastman
Paine Webber.
Investments: Abrizio (acquired by PMC-Sierra), America Online, Blue Coat Systems, Blue Lane Technologies, C-Port (acquired by Motorola), Epigram (acquired by Broadcom), Equinix, Juniper Networks, Legato Systems (acquired by EMC), Opsware, Shasta Networks (acquired by Nortel Networks), and Silver Peak.
