Anthony joined California rock band Saosin in 2003 but left it in early 2004 after becoming dissatisfied with the group's musical direction. He then formed the Philadelphia-based Circa Survive, which immediately gained the support of Equal Vision Records. Within a year, they had released a limited edition tour EP entitled The Inuit Sessions and a full-length album entitled Juturna.
Circa Survive has embarked on many national tours, including an opening slot on Thrice and My Chemical Romance's tour and Mae's headlining tour. The Receiving End of Sirens, Portugal.
