Anže Kopitar (born August 24, 1987) is a Slovenian professional ice hockey player currently playing for and an alternate captain of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was the 11th overall draft pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Kopitar is the first Slovenian player to appear in the NHL.

After his first season in Sweden, he was chosen 11th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Upon being drafted, he was invited to the Kings' rookie camp, but chose to remain in Sweden with Södertälje SK.
