Arlene Alda (born December 7, 1933) is an American photographer, clarinetist and writer of children's books.

For much, but not all, of her career as an author, she has provided the photography for the illustrations used in her books.
Alda is married to actor Alan Alda of M*A*S*H fame. They wed on March 15, 1957, and they have three daughters, Eve, Elizabeth, and Beatrice, as well as seven grandchildren.
