AsciiDoc is a lightweight markup language. It requires the installation of a special AsciiDoc "converter program" that can convert AsciiDoc documents to HTML, PDF, and other formats such as Unix manpages. The converter program is written in Python. AsciiDoc is released under the GNU General Public License.
